Srimad Bhagavatam Class Saturday -Monday 7:00 AM

Hanumatpresaka Swami
(H. H. Robinson) was born 12 January 1948 on Guam, in the Marianis Islands.  He grew up in California and Southwest USA.  After graduating from the University of California in 1970 with first place prize in Psychology and minor studies in Biology and Electrical Engineering he started a Doctorate program at Norwestern University in Chicago.  But, upon personal reflection and advice from his mentor, Donald Campbell, President of the American Psychological Association, he took off to "investigate other traditions of knowledge".  This led to a period as an understudy with The Second City, one of Americas three best improvisational theater troupes, a Black Belt in Okinawan Uechi-Ryu Karate, and finally, in 1974, taking first vows as a monk in the Bengal Vaisnava tradition of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, ISKCON.

He studied and served in the institution for ten years as pot-washer, temple and corporation President, Treasurer and Priest.  Then in 1984 he took life-long vows of religious austerity as a "sanyasi" and in 1994 began himself to formally accept disciples on behalf of Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON.
