Who is Srila Prabhupada?
His Divine Grace;
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, is the founder-acarya of the
International Society for Krishna Consciousness
At the age of 69, on the request of his spiritual master, Srila
Prabhupada came to New York to teach Krishna Consciousness to the
English speaking world.
He started the world wide "Hare Krishna" movement in 1966 from a small
store-front on New York's Lower East Side.
From that humble beginning, in 11 short year's Srila Prabhupada spread
his movement all over the world. He wrote over 80 books on the science
of Krishna consciousness, established temples, farm communities, schools
and restaurants.
He gave lectures, met world leaders and managed his world wide
organization.
